Bjorn Kenneth “Kenny” Nilsson, 68, died in his home in Myrtle Creek, Oregonon April 8, 2017.
Kenny was born to Almer Sixten Nilsson and Eva Elsa Nilsson in northern Sweden on September 19, 1948. The family moved to the United States when Kenny was one year old and eventually settled in the Green area of Roseburg, Oregon.
Ken served in the Air Force for four years during the Viet Nam war era. After leaving the Air Force he spent many years working in the mining industry as an Assayer.
He enjoyed cars, working on restoring some cars and purchasing new cars on the spur of the moment. He would sometimes go for a drive and come home with a new car. He was always pleasant to be around and his co-workers could hear him coming up the hall whistling and jingling the change in his pocket.
Kenny will be missed by his wife, Cheri Linton and many family members.
Arrangements made through Mountain View Memorial Chapel. A memorial in his honor was held at the Roseburg National Cemetery, Friday, April 14, 2017 at 3:00 pm.
